Faces on Friday - Cyclist - Caernarfon City Walls

After my recent visit to Caernarfon to see the Weeping Poppy Cascade  I spotted this young lady looking very contemplative and I wondered if she had just been to see the poppies.

I found it a very emotional exhibit and when I saw her looking so sad I felt for her. Maybe I read too much into her expression but it made a good portrait for Faces on Friday.

  1. I think maybe she is praying, she does look sad, I see she has a loaf of bread in her hands, that is what made me think praying.

  2. She does look sad but I can imagine the emotion if she has just seen the poppies. Have a good weekend Diane x

  3. The poppy exhibitions have really stirred our emotions. I wonder what the young lady is thinking - yes, perhaps she is praying.

  4. This has got to be Wales with a name like Caernarfon. I studied in Caerleon, a the Roman city of Isca, as a college student. Have you been there? It's near Newport.

    1. It is indeed in Gwynedd, no I have never been to Caerleon, maybe one day. Thanks so much for calling by here and commenting Barbara, much appreciated.
